Two important campaigns FOR YOU..
One, ‘Naye Rishtey, Naye Dost’ campaign,
this festive season, wrap something new.. something pretty, something useful.. Gift it to someone you hardly know !! or send it to Goonj, and we will do the rest.. :-) The vegetable vendor lady, the delivery guy, the rickshaw puller, the shoe repair guy and so many invisible people..
TWO, ‘Odha Do Zindagi’, our annual winter campaign, asking each one of us to do more with our woollens and sarees.
End of October also brings to close our pan India Joy Of Giving Month campaign. Hundreds of volunteers, contributors and supporters from different walks of life, age groups and geographies turned the Goonj camps into a festival space with Bicycle rides, skipping contests, music parties, bake sales and so much more..
I also wanted to bring your attention to a unique photo exhibition that's touring the country right now.. 'Witnessing Disasters' that takes a deeper gaze into disasters and disaster hit people, giving a human face to disasters across India over the past two decades. I took these pictures in my journey of witnessing and working in disasters across India.

‘Witnessing Disasters’ a unique photo exhibition by Magsaysay Awardee Anshu Gupta takes
a deeper gaze into disasters and disaster hit people..The exhibition showcases 60 curated photographs that give a human face to disasters across India - from Kashmir to Kerala, Assam to Gujarat and from known to unknown disasters over the past two decades. These pictures are curated from Anshu Gupta’s personal journey of witnessing and working in disasters across India.
